Unfortunately, we’ve had to make the decision to go on hiatus for the year 2012. Our August issue came out painfully late (in October), and we have yet to publish our October 2011 and December 2011 issues.

Due to these severe delays, and due to our need to get back on track with a timely publication schedule, we will not be publishing any issues of Doll Customizer Magazine during the year 2012.

Our October 2011 and December 2011 issues WILL be published during 2012, and these two issues will complete “VOLUME 1,” which are the six issues that were intended for 2011 (February, April, June, August, October, December).

All of you who have subscriptions will continue to receive our issues as they become available. If you were supposed to receive October 2011 and December 2011, then you will receive those issues once they’ve been published. If you had a subscription that continued into the year 2012, then you will, instead, receive our 2013 issues.

I am very sorry that we are forced to halt publication during 2012. As time went on, it became more and more obvious to me that we just would not be able to catch up unless we went on hiatus.

Our February, April, June, and August 2011 issues are still available for single-issue purchase on this site, and they will remain available as long as we have them in stock. Similarly, any additional issues that are published will also become available for single-issue purchase in the future.

For those who don’t know, I’ll tell you: The entire goal of the publication of Doll Customizer Magazine is to eventually get enough revenue to build an animal sanctuary for unwanted and abused animals! All of our profits are going toward this goal, except for any expenses that are necessary to maintain the magazine. The sanctuary will take in dogs and cats, mostly, but no species of animal will be turned away. I know that it’s a very ambitious goal, but I really think that we’ll be able to attain it! I want everyone to know that by subscribing to the magazine, they will be helping animals in need!

Dear Readers,

I am both excited, and a bit disappointed, to have to inform you that our premiere issue will not be released mid-February, as had previously been planned, but will, instead, be released closer toward the end of February. We have had such an overwhelming response from doll artists all over the world who wish to contribute, and though we have been practically working around the clock and have, of course, been writing our own tutorials, as well, we did not anticipate the swiftness with which the interest in this magazine has grown. This has caused us to spend a very large amount of time communicating with all of the artists, and though we can’t possibly fit all of their contributions into the first issue, we are trying to do our very best to offer to you the most spectacular first issue possible. Thank you so much for your interest and for your subscriptions, and please know that the wait will definitely be worth it! -Tina
